Massachusetts

Their excess milk is fed to humanely raised veal calves and pigs. They feed their cows feed that is produced using organic principles and treat them using homeopathic remedies.
  • Walpole: Great Brook Farm, 247 County Road, Walpole, NH 03608. Farm store name is The Milkhouse. Raw milk in 1/2 gallon glass, 1/2 gallon plastic and 1 gallon plastic. Open farmers' hours 6am-8pm 365 days a year. They welcome farm visits. The farm is a 10 generation family farm with 3 generations working on the farm now. The farm was established in 1761 and it has been passed down from father to son and has always been used as a dairy farm. New Jersey

Aged raw-milk cheddar and colby (plain and with various herbs)sold year-round at farm store (Mon-Fri, 11 AM to 5 PM; please call ahead), and at farmers' markets in Lafayette www.LafayetteVillageShops.com, Morristown (Morris County) and Montclair (Essex County) on weekends during the growing season. Intensive rotational grazing. Hay fed in winter. No silage. No growth hormones, antibiotics, or dewormers used. Stoney Croft's is the first herd in the state to be certified free of Johne's disease, a cattle disease that has been possibly linked with Crohn's disease in humans. Stoney Croft has been producing cheese on the farm since 1986.

They are the origin herd of the "Bobolink Black Graizers" breed, a grass-hardy cross of Irish Kerry with Guernsey, Ayrshire, Jersey and Shorthorn. Sorry, but NJ state law prohibits selling raw fluid milk or butter.
