They offer dairy herdshares with whole, unprocessed milk. They also raise Heritage Berkshire pigs, broiler chickens, New Zealand/Californian cross rabbit and Angus cross beef. Free range Hyline hens complete the farm animals. All their livestock is supplemented with a non-GMO grain when pasture or foraging isn't available and they are all naturally raised without the use of hormones, steroids or chemicals. Whole raw milk, cream, butter from cow, goat, and sheep. Free range grass and hay-fed. Hay is plain prairie grass mix and limited alfalfa hay that is old stand and old genetics no spraying. Grain is oat, barley, and flax. No corn and no soy. No fish or fish byproducts. All dairy animals are veterinarian tested annually free of TB. Tested triennially free of Brucellosis. The farm is tested Johnes-free and the sheep are also tested OOP Free. Copy of test provided upon request. Milked by closed machine milking system, filtered, and chilled in half gallon glass mason jars. Cow milk is $5/half gallon, Goat milk is $8/half gallon, Sheep milk is $10/half gallon (limited seasonal availability). This organic dairy farm has 30+ Jersey/Holstein cross cattle which are pastured daily and supplemented with grain and dry hay. The farm store is located across from the main farm house on Huff Road, open 7 am-7 pm every day. They make and sell Alderney their signature artisan raw cow milk cheese. This is a small Certified Grade A family dairy farm in southern Fauquier County. They currently have grassfed herdshares available with an Agistment Agreement. The herd consists of several breeds of dairy cattle; purebred Jerseys, purebred Brown Swiss, purebred Holsteins, purebred Guernseys, Swedish Red/Holstein Cross, Red Dane/Holstein Cross, Brown Swiss/Holstein Cross, Jersey/Holstein Cross and Montbéliard/Holstein Cross that are grassfed, weather permitting. They will deliver your weekly milk share(s). They are actively searching for drop off points in Northern VA. Their animals are treated humanely. They never feed the animals hormones or medicated feed. Their cows are bred with semen from A2 bulls. They are breeding for a herd free of the A1 protein. Chaseholm Farm is a third-generation dairy raising Holsteins and Jerseys. They are Certified Organic and 100 percent grassfed. In the pasture season, the dairy herd rotates intensively through 110 acres of managed pastureland. Forages are raised on farm for winter feed: dry hay and baleage.
