Fields offers milk and cheeses from Nubian and Nigerian dairy goats. Goats are negative for CAE, (Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis), Johne's disease, Q fever, and toxoplasmosis. These and other tests are provided as needed. They raise their goats for dairy, show and pets. No products are offered for human consumption. Goats are fed perennial peanut hay, Tifton 44, grain mixture, black oil sunflower seeds, shredded beet pulp, and a variety of special minerals are offered free choice. They try to practice holistic medicine when possible. Milk sold in new dairy-approved gallon jugs only. Cheeses: chevre, cheddar and other varies as well - soft and hard. Jersey cows and Nubian goats on pasture, supplemented during milking with organic, non-GMO, soy-free feed. Farm is not Certified Organic but is managed to those standards. No hormones or antibiotics used. Products include cow and goat milk, cream, and butter via herdshare program. Additional offerings include grassfed Angus beef, free-range brown eggs, raw honey, and organic chickens. Delivery is currently provided to Front Royal, Manassas, Oakton, Leesburg, Purcellville, Herndon, Reston, Great Falls, Falls Church and Arlington. Farm pick up is available seven days a week. Best contact is via email as there is no cell phone service in the farm's vicinity. Since the owners are usually in the fields or with the animals, they might not answer the phone, but please leave a voicemail and the call will be returned ASAP.
