AKM Farm is a family-run small farm. They raise Jersey cows and Nubian and Alpine goats.

Alpine and Toggenburg goats. Raised as organically as possible; goats are pastured, much of their food is grown onsite, and all is organic except a small amount of mineral supplement. No antibiotics or hormones are used; if an animal requires medication they use medicinal plants from the rainforest if they can, and they discard milk longer than advised so that no medication ever enters the milk. Goats and milk are tested regularly. Careful about sanitation; separate, dedicated room for milk processing. Goats milk (raw cruda or pasteurized) for $2.75/liter, cheese, plain or guanabana yogurt, and kefir. Order in advance. Idanea knows a small amount of English but she has a relative who can translate e-mails for her. She is happy to let you see the goats and their facilities. They are a sustainable run farm with pasture-raised Nubian and Alpine goats, chickens and other poultry. They do not use any antibiotics or hormones with their stock and their feed comes from one of the oldest feed mills in the state that fresh grinds the feed and contains no soy. The herd is registered with the AGDA and are CAE free as well as regularly tested for disease. Products include raw goat milk, kefir, yogurt and a variety of cheeses, including chevre, feta, ricotta, Roquefort, curds, etc. They also have available for sale raw cow milk from a partnering dairy. The farm also offers pasture-raised chickens, turkeys, and Peking ducks. They have a limited amount of eggs available. Per Florida law, all raw milk products and fresh unwashed eggs are sold for pet consumption only. Do not ask to encourage human consumption of products as it could jeopardize licensing with the state. Products are sold in new BPA-free jugs. This small family-run dairy goat farm has limited milk shares available seasonally. They raise American and French Alpine dairy goats that feed on high-quality pasture, locally sourced hay, daily probiotics, and local corn- and soy-free grains during pregnancy and lactation.
