Herd is living as a social unit with calves growing up with their mothers and aunties, bull with cows in free grass turn out at appropriate times of the year, they are grazing on fertilizer-free grass, good hay, and organic grain as a treat while in milking stand.
Fresh raw milk is offered by the quart, the gallon, and in larger containers upon request. A gallon of fresh full fat raw milk is $ 7 plus container. Fresh cultured farm cheese, kefir, clotted cream, as well as sweet and cultured salted butter are for sale, in addition to free range organic eggs ($5 a dozen) and seasonal biodynamic vegetables.

Brookby Farm is a sixth-generation family farm, owned and operated by the Vincents. Brookby has an on-farm market that carries grass fed raw milk (raw and A2 raw milk) in both plastic. Additionally, they sell five gallon buckets of raw milk for personal cheese making. Sustainable practices including rotational grazing and on-farm energy used from renewable resources. The market carries a wide array of products produced by Brookby and local farms, including: honey, coffee, maple syrup, granolas, pastas, homemade jams, meats, pasture eggs, fresh baked breads, cheeses, organic vegetables, and much more. Buttercup Farms is a raw milk dairy in Howard, CO, serving the central Colorado Rockies including the communities of Salida, Buena Vista, FairPlay, Breckenridge, Silverthorne, Edwards, Eagle and Leadville. Raw milk cowshares are available through a contractual relationship with Buttercup Farms. Membership in the dairy is a one-time nonrefundable fee of $25. Then you pay a monthly share fee of $30 for a half share or $60 for a whole share. A whole share is equivalent to one gallon per week. All milk is bottled in glass jars which must be cleaned and recycled back to the dairy on a regular basis. Milk containers are then sterilized before the following bottling. An annual jar fee (once a year) of $10/share is required to offset lost, broken or otherwise unreturned jars. The dairy is a small herd of purebred Jerseys that are grassfed on a three-acre parcel; they are supplemented with alfalfa hay throughout the year. Grain is not part of their diet.
