Farmer's statement: "Hard work and love go into every single animal we raise. We take care of our girls and in turn they take care of us. The most important thing is what our animals eat! Our mama dairy cows rotate from paddock to paddock consuming all the varieties of new grass we seed. We supplement based on their nutritionist's advice.

"George Farms expands our customers' palates with other high-quality products like Berkshire/Mangalitsa/Mulefoot pork, prime choice beef, and free-range eggs. Our piggies mainly have an A2 milk-based diet. This enriches the meat throughout--it will melt in your mouth. Our beef cows primarily eat a grass-fed diet. They grew up on our A2 milk, which we found incorporates much like our pork if you start them early enough. Our chickens run wild on our 112-acre farm. They get a healthy diet of grass, bugs, sweet corn, flax and--you guessed it--A2 milk! Our eggs are known for high in Omega 3s. We have also partnered with neighboring farms to provide local raw honey and sourdough bread. Try out our farm store. A land blessed by the Lord himself."

Facebook: sweetlandfarm. Sweet Land Farm offers raw milk from their grassfed Jersey herd through their herdshare program. The cows enjoy a rotational grazing system, moving every 12 hours after each milking to a variety of annual and perennial forages. Sweet Land Farm cows are treated with herbs and homeopathy when needed and care and attention to detail are taken in the cleanliness of milking practices and equipment. At milking, the cows enjoy a small amount of locally grown, non-GMO grain. Shares are delivered weekly to drop sites with convenient pick-up times and locations in: Afton, Belmont, Blacksburg, Charlottesville, Christiansburg, Floyd, North Garden, NE and SW Roanoke, Rocky Mount, Smith Mountain Lake area, and Willis. Facebook: under SweetLand Farm. This farm is certified to sell raw milk for pet consumption only per Georgia law. Herd of registered Alpines is certified TB, Brucellosis and CAE free. Animals are on pasture, with plenty of wooded area for browse, fed locally grown hay and locally made grain on the milk stand. No added hormones or antibiotics. Goats are milked twice a day and visits are encouraged, please call ahead first. They sell off the farm, raw milk $5/half gallon, free range eggs $4/dozen and 100 percent goat milk soap $5/bar.
