MR Goatfeathers Farm raises Nigerian dwarf dairy goats using rotational grazing practices, local dairy quality grass and legume hay, and locally produced dairy goat rations on a 4.5 acre homestead with a small flock of chickens. The herd is CAE negative and tested yearly.
Half gallon raw goat milk is available for purchase under the GA Dept of Agriculture Feed License for Pet Consumption. Milk is machine milked and refrigerated upon immediate filtration then frozen within three days of milking if not sold fresh. Fresh eggs available in small quantities.
Farm visits are offered for a donation to the farm's favorite local animal rescue Evelyn's Place in Gainesville, GA.

Contact them to see if they are currently taking new customers or to get on their list. The goats all live together on pasture throughout the year with grass hay fed during the winter. Feed is supplemented as needed. Meat is available occasionally. Laying hens are sold year around as are fresh brown eggs. Milk is $6/gallon or $4/half gallon, in your containers. They raise registered Nigerian Dwarf goats. They are pasture raised, with daily alfalfa, and a 16 percent dairy goat ration locally sourced from an Amish feed mill about 10 miles away. They are not Organic or non-GMO/soy free. They are raised as natural as possible. Milking season starts mid to late April until late October/early November. If before or after this time, call anyway and get on the list. Call to place order and arrange pickup/delivery. All goats have access to free choice pasture, woods, and browse. All pastures are fertilized with their own composted manure; no chemicals or pesticides are used. Milkers are fed whole grains and perennial peanut hay as needed. No growth hormones are used. Should any of their goats require medical treatment, they are removed from the milking line.
