Description

Milk from a small herd of mixed heritage breeds, including Guernsey, Normande, Milking Shorthorn, and Jersey. The cows are raised on pasture with free access to hay, minerals, and fresh water. And they receive a small amount of alfalfa, beet, flax seed oil, sunflower seeds, and grain at milking time. No growth hormones or antibiotics are used.

Milk is available via herd share and the farm is also licensed by the state of North Carolina to sell unpasteurized milk marked "NOT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION." They offer on-farm pick up or weekly delivery to Boone, and their milk can also be found at Be Natural Market in Boone.
