Description

Fresh and frozen whole, unpasteurized raw goat milk (average four percent + butterfat) is available by the half-gallon and gallon in FDA-approved plastic milk jugs. Chevre (plain and in a variety of flavors) and Fromage Blanc cheeses, Farmstead cheese, kefir, yogurt, whey, and colostrum are also available. Find them at the Alachua County Farmers Market Saturdays, 8:30 am to noon, CR 121 and SR 441 in Gainesville; The Gainesville Downtown Market (at Bo Didley Plaza) on Wednesday afternoons from 3 to 7 pm, and at the Riverside Farmers and Arts Market (under the Fuller Warren Bridge) from 10 am until 2 pm on Saturdays. Whole goat milk is an alternative to milk replacers for a variety of animals who do not have access to adequate dam milk (puppies, kittens, foals, etc.), and can also be given to adult pets as a supplement to a balanced diet. Their products are free of hormones and antibiotics, and come from a healthy, registered herd of dairy goats. The goats' primary diet is hay, forage, pasture grasses, and browse, with a small amount of grain during milking. Milking is done in a climate-controlled milking parlor, with dairy products prepared in a connected dairy kitchen. Kids for sale each spring; see website for availability. Per Florida law, raw dairy is sold as an animal feed supplement only. See other places where you can find products from this farm.
