Farmer's statement:
"Heritage Farms provides the freshest, most nutritious, sweet, butter yellow raw milk. You just can't match the taste and quality anywhere. We believe that to produce safe, high quality, nutritious milk you must focus on four objectives:
"1. HEALTH: This starts with the quality of the cow. Each of our Jerseys is registered and A2/A2. When they first come to the farm, blood work is immediately done to assure a clean bill of health. Each cow is immediately started on our high quality minerals and nutrition program.
"2. SANITATION: Bacteria is the greatest risk when harvesting raw milk for consumption. We strive for a clean environment for our cows. Because flies are the culprit for spreading disease and infection, our stalls are cleaned daily and cows are sprayed daily with organic fly spray as needed. Our milking equipment is cleaned and sterilized after each use. The cow's udder is prepped with antibacterial dip before and after milking to prevent mastitis. Hands are washed before and after harvesting. To prevent cross-contamination, we do not mix milk from different cows. Every drop of milk from each cow is dated and identified from which cow it was harvested to track the health of each cow.
"3. MINERALS: Just because milk tastes good doesn't mean it's nutritious. To achieve the greatest healing power of raw milk, minerals are the key. Our Jersey cows are put on the highest quality macro/micro minerals.
"4. TASTE: Taste has to do with what the cow eats. Our cows are grass fed and supplemented with organic alfalfa and fescue hay for the best tasting milk possible."
