Primarily Jersey cows, some Devon and Ayrshire. They graze Certified Organic pastures. Feed consists of Certified Organic grass hay, alfalfa, fresh grain milled on farm, molasses in parlor; no more than 4 lbs. grain/day. Seasonal sign-up for herdshare. $12/gallon milk, butter, cream, yogurt and cheese also available. Pick-up locations on the farm as well as in Eugene, Portland, and Corvallis. Small family farm with ADGA registered Nubian dairy goats. Herd has year-round access to unsprayed pasture with supplemental alfalfa and Timothy hay as needed. Grain is given at milking. Herbal dewormer is given as needed and mineral supplements are available free choice. Herd is clean tested for disease. Milking is done twice daily by sanitized machine, filtered, bottled and chilled. On-farm pick-up. Raw milk available in half-gallon jars with jar exchange or non-refundable $3 jar deposit with no jar exchange. Self-service milk pickup is available Monday through Saturday during daylight hours. Closed on Sundays. The season runs from about May to the end of October. Please call or text ahead to assure milk availability. Frog Farm is a 10-acre homestead and herb farm using and promoting Permaculture practices. Animals include Alpine/Nubian milk goats, free-range chickens and ducks, rabbits, and livestock guardian dogs. In addition to pasture, animals are fed organic grains/feed, seaweed, comfrey, and other nutrient dense vegetation. Goat milk is $4/quart plus jar deposit. ADGA-registered full size dairy goats (Nubian and Oberhasli) fed local hay and pasture, 16-18 percent dairy ration, beet pulp, boss, oats, and alfalfa pellets. Fully vaccinated, and dewormed only when needed. Kids bottle raised on heat treated milk. Goats are disease-tested and clean. Milk is tested monthly.
