Raw milk from Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. Nigerian Dwarf milk has a higher butterfat content (usually 5-10 percent butterfat) than milk from full size dairy goats and cows, making it good for cheese and soap making. They quickly chill the milk after milking each doe, then freeze it in quart-size Ziploc bags for the crafter's convenience. They can also quick-chill raw milk into glass jars by request. Milk is available from late February into the fall/winter months. (Oregon law states: Raw goat milk sales are legal on the farm and in retail stores. No permit is necessary for farmers with no more than nine producing goats who sell the milk on the farm directly to the consumer.) See other places where you can find products from this farm.
