Dr. Ted Beals at Rutgers University

Ted Beals, MD, addresses an audience at Rutgers University on the ever-present concerns over the safety of raw milk. The title of his talk: “If Raw
Milk is so Dangerous, Why Aren’t All Our Friends and Neighbors Sick?” His seminar abstract was widely circulated throughout the university. Dr. Beals is keeping a database on all illnesses attributed to raw milk since 1999; he has found that an average of 42 illnesses—with no deaths—is linked to raw milk per year, a miniscule number given that over nine million people in the U.S. consume raw milk.
