Important Notes about the Listings

  1. RAW MILK POLICY STATEMENT: The Weston A. Price Foundation’s goals include promoting a healthy diet for people everywhere, based on natural and traditional foods, and assisting individuals and families in accessing those foods through information, education, and helping to restore the direct relationship between food consumers and food producers. The Foundation believes, based on sound scientific evidence, that raw milk is an important component of a healthy diet. To assist its members and the public in obtaining raw milk, the Foundation publishes a list of farms that produce it, because this information is not otherwise readily and comprehensively available to consumers. Listing of a farm does not imply endorsement by the Foundation. Individuals who purchase raw milk and other natural foods for themselves and their families need to “know their farmer” because they bear the responsibility for ensuring that they are getting safe and healthy products.
  2. NO ADVERTISING: The Foundation accepts no money for the listings; the listings are not advertisements. All listings are at the sole discretion of the Weston A. Price Foundation.
  3. NO MARKETING: The email addresses listed here are not to be used for any purpose other than to contact the farmers regarding the availability of their products. Use of the listed email addresses for marketing or other such purposes is strictly prohibited.
  4. RAW MILK CONSUMERS PLEASE NOTE: This list of raw milk sources probably represents only a portion of the raw milk producers in your state. For additional raw milk sources, contact your local Weston A. Price Foundation Chapter Leader.
  5. RAW MILK PRODUCERS PLEASE NOTE: The FDA and State Agencies have discovered this list and sometimes use it for their own purposes, so exercise caution with your listing. If you choose not to have a listing, make sure your local WAPF Chapter Leader has your name for referrals.
  6. USDA, FDA and STATE AG AGENCIES PLEASE NOTE: Raw milk is Nature’s perfect food and is extremely important for the developing brains and nervous systems of infants and children. Furthermore, in many children not fortunate enough to have started life on raw milk, raw milk given later in childhood has improved autism, behavior problems, frequent infections, deafness, asthma and allergies and other serious health conditions. Please bear in mind that any move you make to stop or hinder a raw dairy operation will actually HARM, not help the infants and children who rely on that milk, and may make it difficult for all children to obtain this milk in the future–including your own children and grandchildren. An interruption in supply can be VERY detrimental to a growing infant or sick child who has no other options. Read for yourself on our Testimonials page. If you are concerned about safety, rest assured. In the farm-to-consumer distribution model, the farmer receives timely and relevant feedback directly from the customers, something that farmers selling bulk milk never receive. Raw milk is actually the safest food around with so much consumer oversight and also with an extremely efficient built-in anti-pathogen mechanism! If you are concerned about rules, then consider investing the same amount of time you’d spend persecuting a raw milk farmer into advocating for supportive raw milk legislation.
  7. LISTING SOURCES: The listings here are provided by people who discover sources of real milk in their communities and tell us about them. If you discover a listed supplier is no longer providing real milk, please tell us about it by following the instructions on the Add, Update, or Remove a Listing page. We trust our members and consumers to check out each farm to make sure it is clean and that the cows are mostly pasture fed.

  1. Were loking for RAW milk for our family. Mainly my son who is autistic and alergic to tje pasteurizing process. We are also cinsiderjng beef, chick and eggs. We live in williamsburg 23185. We’ve by no wday rich but use about 4 gal a week.

    • Check out GAPS diet and youtube video “food is best medicine” on youtube; i’m not affiliated with them so i have no commercial interest in it

  2. I stumbled across your inquiry and thought I might be of assistance. I currently live in N.C. but looking to move to Wmsbg, so I was here looking for availability. Its harder for us in NC than for you in VA. One of my sources is mail order from Miller Organic Farm in PA. I think they will ship anywhere. They have every product you can imagine. Yes, the milk is expensive, but if you can find a local milk source you could use Miller for other food items that are natural and clear of any harmful components (cheese, eggs, lard, butter, etc.). There is a membership requirement to abide by various laws. Good luck in finding the clean healthy food source needed for your son.

  3. My little brother has suffered from eczema due to all sorts of food allergies for years, it’s hard to tell a child he can’t have chocolate, peanut butter, etc..I have recently found that raw milk can be a huge help for those with this type of problem..the issue is that I have never even seen raw milk. We live in Burke, VA..where could I find raw milk?

    thanks and God bless

    • goldenvalleyguernseys.com has a drop in Manassas, VA and it is convenient to Chantilly and Burke.

We would love to open a drop in the Leesburg/Ashburn area and invite you to contact us if you are a family willing to be a drop site or know of a store that would host!

    • Guernsey milk is listed as the source of the Mayo clinic raw milk cures (skin conditions etc) in the articles here on the real milk website. We have many shareholder families who love the Guernsey milk for those reasons. Our own family has seen its benefits as well as we had two very allergic children prior to our Guernseys and their beautiful milk!

      • I’m looking at a share with Golden Valley Guernseys, but they have a closed farm policy, which I’ve never encountered before with a farm I had a share in. Has anyone been to the farm or know how to vette them absent a site visit?

  4. Looking for raw milk, grass fed butter (preferably in bulk) and grass fed beef (again, maybe in bulk) in the Virginia Beach area.

    • hollygrovefarm.com delivers to all of Hampton Roads. fullquiverfarm.com delivers to different places in Hampton Roads also.
Or did you find another source by now?

  5. Lots of people looking for raw milk but not too many responses from those who may have found a source. Have any of you found a good affordable source in the midlothian or south chesterfield area?

    • We love Avery’s Branch Farm in Amelia. They have many drop sites for their Raw Milk and other products. I pick my stuff up off Hull Street. They just had a community farm day today where you can tour their place. Good family.

  6. I am looking for raw goat’s milk (goat shares) in the Roanoke area. Please help! We are moving in 2 week and urgently need it for my baby daughter’s health.

  7. I am looking for raw, grass-fed milk on the eastern shore of Virginia.
I need to be able to get it nearby or have it shipped. I work six days a week, pnly day off is Sunday and most places are closed on Sundays.
I am also going to check out Maryland as once I get to a main road it is only 4 miles to the state line.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

    • Susan, were you successful in your search? If not, here’s an idea that works in our Hampton Roads area: Ask if another customer would hold your milk for you on drop-off days and you can pick up from them on your way home from work. Just be very considerate of their storage space by remembering to pick up your order.
Also, you’ll want to have an agreement that your milk will , indeed be kept cold until you pick up. Believe it or not, some, knowing raw milk cultures rather than spoils, will just allow the milk to sit in a non-iced cooler until pick-up. Unless you prefer the taste of cultured milk, you’ll not want that. If they keep it in a cooler rather than a refrigerator, it would be considerate to offer to reimburse for ice -if they buy it for cooling.

  8. I am looking for raw milk in the Leesburg, Virginia area. I have contacted Golden Valley Farm and asked to be put on a wait list. Anyone have other suggestions?
    Thanks!
    Kriste

  9. Not really, but I got in touch with a farmer that does it and has a drop in Manassas. If there is enough people maybe they could add a drop in Aldie/ Stone Ridge, VA.

  10. Fellow Virginians! I’m selling 1 herdshare for raw milk from Avery Branch Farms for $100 (what I paid for it). Please reply to this post if you want it and leave me your email address or phone #. You get a gallon a week and their prices are competetive with other herdshares in the area. They deliver to Alexandria (multiple spots), Amelia, Ashland, Charlottesville, Fairfax, Goochland, Herndon, Merrifield, Midlothian, Richmond (multiple spots), Spotsylvania, Williamsburg, and Occoquan/Woodbridge.

  11. I live in Franklin VA and have great milking goats. Awesome taste. Used daily, make cheeses, soaps, etc. My mall farm is managed without chemicals and I have free range chickens, also. My cheeses are often sent to work with my daughter for co-worker snacks. They have often asked to buy and have special orders during holidays, etc. I’m increasing my chicken flock to keep up with the egg sales. Next yr I plan to expand my garden to offer naturally grown veggies and flowers. My soaps are sold at several beauty shops and at some craft fairs I attend. It’s a cottage industry to keep feed bills down, LOL.

If the Norfolk lady is interested, I can offer a “goat share”, otherwise in VA we can only sell the raw milk for pet consumption. My chickens love it!

  12. Bessie-

I love goat milk and looking for raw goat milk cheeses and other products. Do you have a website or distribution through any grocery stores in Richmond, Va ?
