Raw honey and bee pollen is also available as well as organic produce in the summer months, all from local, independent, organic farmers. We offer fresh baked sourdough breads, english muffins and bagels. We provide these foods fresh on a weekly basis Wednesdays and Thursdays. Locations: Frankfort, Homer Glen, Winfield, South Barrington, Glenview and Lake Zurich. We continue to welcome new families to the cooperative and are happy to answer any questions you may have. Kiss the Cow Farm is an organic, grass based, A2 dairy selling ice cream as well as raw and pasteurized milk from a herd of Jersey and Normande cows. They also grow organic vegetables. They sell their products through a farm store, seasonal CSAs, weekly farmers' markets and area co-ops.
Raw cow milk from Jersey cows that are primarily pasture-fed, with no hormones or antibiotics used. Requires being able to drive to the farms (1.5 hours south of Nashville, 1 hour south of Franklin) every 13-16 weeks on Thursday morning. Pick up and drop off is in Cool Springs near Whole Foods. The co-op has been established for over 10 years and is looking for new members. Milk is $3/gallon, eggs are $3/dozen, produce in the summer/fall seasons.
