Buffalo Valley Pastures’ farming practices are beyond organic. Their dairy animals are 100 percent organically grassfed (free from soy, grain and chemicals) and always 100 percent A2. The milk they produce on the farm includes Guernsey cow milk and water buffalo milk. Buffalo Valley Pastures also sells camel, horse, goat and sheep milk from trusted nearby farms that farm the same way. All animals are farmed on pasture, non-confined, free from antibiotics, vaccines and hormones. Not only do they sell raw milk, they also sell, raw cream, ice cream, gelato, yogurt, kefir, butter, cottage cheese, cheese and much more! Their milk and dairy products are raw and sold as pet food. They also sell their own pastured meats (pork, chicken, beef, water buffalo and lamb), chicken and duck eggs, ancient grains (spelt, einkorn, turkey red), rolled oats, kombucha, water kefir, cookies, local honey, local maple syrup and sourdough bread! Everything is produced without chemicals. All of the varieties of grains, oats, breeds of animals and production of goods is made with digestion in mind. Buttercup Farms is a raw milk dairy in Howard, CO, serving the central Colorado Rockies including the communities of Salida, Buena Vista, FairPlay, Breckenridge, Silverthorne, Edwards, Eagle and Leadville. Raw milk cowshares are available through a contractual relationship with Buttercup Farms. Membership in the dairy is a one-time nonrefundable fee of $25. Then you pay a monthly share fee of $30 for a half share or $60 for a whole share. A whole share is equivalent to one gallon per week. All milk is bottled in glass jars which must be cleaned and recycled back to the dairy on a regular basis. Milk containers are then sterilized before the following bottling. An annual jar fee (once a year) of $10/share is required to offset lost, broken or otherwise unreturned jars. The dairy is a small herd of purebred Jerseys that are grassfed on a three-acre parcel; they are supplemented with alfalfa hay throughout the year. Grain is not part of their diet. Carlton Farms is a diversified sustainable family farm located 45 miles NW of Atlanta. They produce raw cow's milk for pets from grassfed Jersey cows;  grassfed beef and lamb; pasture-raised, soy free, non-GMO poultry and pork; and pasture-raised, non-GMO eggs (chickens are also fed corn and a small amount of soy). No antibiotics or hormones used; pastures are not treated with pesticides, herbicides, or commercial fertilizer. In addition to their products, they also carry other naturally produced foods from others in the local natural farming community.
