About the Farm Family: The farming team is made of three Amish men, their wives, and their children. Their families are living simply on the land, and they practice responsible stewardship, caring for and rotating their livestock through their green pastures. Their farm-fresh foods have brought healing to their families; they are now dedicated to providing these same health-filled, hand-crafted foods to you and your family.
How The Animals Are Raised: The farm's livestock are raised using regenerative practices (such as rotational grazing, long rest periods for grass, and prioritizing soil health). The animals are moved daily to fresh, lush green pastures (in season). In the winter, their diets are supplemented with organic alfalfa hay. They are never given hormones, antibiotics, vaccines, or chemical de-wormers; instead, they have natural immunity; they flourish thanks to the farm's pasture-filled grazing program. All livestock is processed carefully and humanely, on a small-scale, either at the farm, or a short distance from the farm.
Pasture-Raised Meat & Eggs: Includes beef (fresh or frozen), pork, turkey, and chicken; chicken eggs. Grass fed & finished beef iis raised on rotational pasture for excellent nutrition and health. Pasture-raised, soy-free, non-GMO, milk-fed heritage pork. Pasture-raised, soy-free, non-GMO chicken and turkey. Herdshares are available for this herd of heritage breed British Guernsey goats. $10 buy-in per share, $2-4 jar deposit per share, and $16-18/month per share boarding fee (price subject to change year by year depending on feed costs). One share = approximately 1 quart of milk per week (can vary depending on time of year but is often slightly more). Goats are fed organic (or GMO-free if organic is unavailable) grain/alfalfa mix on the milking stand, free range grazing and mixed grass/legume hay. They are not Certified Organic but strive to maintain as natural and chemical free herd as is possible.
