Whole goat milk is an alternative to milk replacers for a variety of animals who do not have access to adequate dam milk (puppies, kittens, foals, etc.), and can also be given to adult pets as a supplement to a balanced diet. Their products are free of hormones and antibiotics, and come from a healthy, registered herd of dairy goats. The goats' primary diet is hay, forage, pasture grasses, and browse, with a small amount of grain during milking. Golden Rule Dairy is a small family owned and operated licensed Grade A Dairy. They offer raw milk from their herd of Jersey cows. The cows are grassfed, grain-free and non-GMO. As of now they only have milk available, but are working towards having cream, butter, etc. in the near future. They have different drop locations where you can purchase fresh milk weekly. A Grade A licensed dairy farm for over 60 years; ceased shipping to processing market a few years ago but still keeps some cows for fresh milk. Farm had the highest quality milk (very low SCC and bacteria counts) in NC the last five years milk was shipped. Holstein cows are milked twice daily with pipeline milking system, milk cooled immediately in stainless steel storage tank. Cattle are fed homegrown forages plus a small amount of protein concentrate to meet nutrition needs for production and health.
