The animals are moved daily to fresh, lush green pastures (in season). In the winter, their diets are supplemented with organic alfalfa hay. They are never given hormones, antibiotics, vaccines, or chemical dewormers; instead, they have natural immunity and flourish thanks to the farm's grazing program. All livestock is processed carefully and humanely, on a small-scale, either at the farm, or a short distance from the farm.
How to Order: Go to the FarmMatch store (link above). The store includes FAQ. Product descriptions can be found by clicking product photos. Choose a Location (includes warehouses in Miami, Coral Gables, Tamiami, Kendall, Cutler Bay, and Fort Lauderdale), and you will see an estimated time of delivery associated with that location (late morning or afternoon). The farm sends your orders from Lancaster County, PA, via a very cold refrigerated truck, directly to pickup locations every other Monday (Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday). You will receive a delivery notification once delivery is made. Email any questions to hello [at] artisanacres [dot] farm.
About the Farm Family: The farming team consists of one Amish family--a young farming couple, their siblings, and one set of parents, so it is truly a family affair. Their family is living simply on the land, and they practice responsible stewardship, caring for and rotating their livestock through their green pastures. Their farm-fresh foods have brought healing to their family; they are now dedicated to providing these same health-filled, hand-crafted foods to you and your family.
