They are a state-certified raw goat milk farm which first opened in 2015 and currently milks 12 registered American Alpine goats. They grind their own grain and do not use hormones, steroids, etc. They are a regularly inspected, CAE-free farm which also offers raw honey, eggs, and their own homemade goat milk soap. Raw milk available from Jersey cows, on pasture all day except for milking time. No chemicals used on pasture. Cows are antibiotic and hormone free. At milking time, cows are fed fodder grass grown from organic barley seed; no pesticides nor GMOs used. Cows have been tested and qualify for the A2/A2 genetics. Milk is $10/gallon, $5/half gallon. Also available: raw milk from A2/A1 cows, who receive a scoop of supplemental non-soy grain at milking time, $7/gallon; $3.50/half gallon. They keep the grain to a minimumvery light supplementation in spring and summer, more in fall and winter. Bucket milkers are broken down to the smallest part after each milking, then scrubbed and washed thoroughly with mild dish liquid; no harsh chemicals or acids used. Fresh and frozen whole, unpasteurized raw goat milk (average four percent + butterfat) is available by the half-gallon and gallon in FDA-approved plastic milk jugs. Chevre (plain and in a variety of flavors) and Fromage Blanc cheeses, Farmstead cheese, kefir, yogurt, whey, and colostrum are also available. Find them at the Alachua County Farmers Market Saturdays, 8:30 am to noon, CR 121 and SR 441 in Gainesville; The Gainesville Downtown Market (at Bo Didley Plaza) on Wednesday afternoons from 3 to 7 pm, and at the Riverside Farmers and Arts Market (under the Fuller Warren Bridge) from 10 am until 2 pm on Saturdays. Whole goat milk is an alternative to milk replacers for a variety of animals who do not have access to adequate dam milk (puppies, kittens, foals, etc.), and can also be given to adult pets as a supplement to a balanced diet. Their products are free of hormones and antibiotics, and come from a healthy, registered herd of dairy goats. The goats' primary diet is hay, forage, pasture grasses, and browse, with a small amount of grain during milking. Small family farm milking 35 primarily Jersey cows, with herd leases available. They are grass-based, with their cows on pasture from spring until late fall. They are not USDA Certified Organic but use organic farming practices. They machine milk into a closed system. Milk is immediately strained, chilled, and stored in a closed bulk tank. Scheduled farm visits are welcomed. They also offer raw milk cheese (aged 60 days) and Greek yogurt made from their milk. Also available at the farm or on deliveries are pastured chicken and duck eggs, pastured no-nitrate pork, pastured beef, pastured chicken, raw unfiltered honey, local maple syrup, and as-close-to-local extra virgin olive oil as you can get in Michigan. Everything produced or sold on their farm is pastured, hormone-free, steroid-free, antibiotic-free, and GMO-free. They deliver weekly to five locations throughout Kalamazoo, Portage, and Paw Paw.
