Fiore di Capra is a grade A goat dairy and creamery. Raw goat milk products include milk, kefir, yogurt, artisanal fresh and aged cheese, cajeta (traditional sweet milk pouring sauce, also known as dulce de leche), caramels, ice cream, and cheesecakes. Handmade soaps and lotions also available. Licensed Grade A and inspected by the State of Arizona since 2006. No pesticides or hormones used. Antibiotics used only in extremis (to save the life of the animal) and that milk is not used for production. Products available on Sundays from 8 am to noon at the St. Phillip's Plaza Farmers Market (4280 N. Campbell Ave.) in Tucson. Most products sold online at their website, and available for shipping throughout the country. Raw goat milk from a mixed breed herd of Nubians, Alpines, and Toggenburgs. Raw cow milk from a herd of Line Backs, Jerseys, Guernsey, Dutch Belted, and Normandys. Animals are grassfed with minimal supplements. No added hormones or antibiotics. They also run a butchering facility, from slaughter to processing and smoking, and sell retail grassfed and custom-ordered meats with no MSG, nitrate, or nitrite added. All products are available on the farm Thu-Fri 8 am-7 pm and Sat 2 pm-7 pm, as well as in local farmers markets. Visitors are welcome. Facebook: Richardson Farms. The Richardson family has been involved in farming for several generations. They are conservation minded in their farming efforts, and use no hormones or antibiotics used. All crops raised to feed livestock are non-GMO and pesticide-free. The dairy herd (20 cows) consists of Jerseys and a few Holsteins that are all A2/A2 protein producers. The dairy holds a Grade A Permit. They have a facility which houses a four-stall milking parlor, a milk plant for low-temperature pasteurization and a Country Store (open most days but call to make sure) featuring their complete line of beef, pork and poultry items. Their milk is featured at the farmers markets in Austin, Georgetown, and Houston. They have a Raw Milk for Retail Permit which allows the customer to pick up raw milk at the dairy. Everything on the farm is Certified Organic through OEFFA and biodynamic. Brown Swiss and Jersey cow grazing spring, summer, and fall, eating annuals in season and pasture with access to perennials. In the late fall and winter they eat alfalfa with soft bladed fescues and bailage (fermented alfalfa and grass) with access to perennials. Herdshares are available. Also offering 100 percent grassfed Black Angus beef, pastured turkeys, broiler chickens, and egg layers, annual plant sales in May, a CSA with over 136 heirloom fruits and vegetables, heritage breed Glouchestershire Pork, Meadow Veal. Alpine, Mini Alpine, and Nigerian dwarf dairy goats, fed on pasture and browse and alfalfa hay, grain at milking time (using grain from local farmers when possible).
